On the 24th of July Duisburg will be the capital of the electronic beats: With the theme „The Art of Love“ a unique gathering of the international DJ Elite will take place at the former goods station area.

16 elaborately designed floats (parade wagons) will fire off the beats and basses of the anthem at 2 pm (14:00 h) as the starting signal to the biggest party in den world.

Born 1992 in the previous ice hockey stadium Cologne, the Mayday is a synonym for impelling beats and crispy basses, which are presents to you regularly by the elite of the international top DJs every 30th of April.

And also this year the line up from the Mayday is on one’s best behaviour. Dash Berlin is a true deejay at heart with a profound passion for the comprehensive culture of dance music. He is often described as an invigorating and charismatic newcomer, with the unique ability to leave a long-lasting impression upon his audience well after the night is over. Dash is one of those rare individuals that seem to apprehend the unwritten laws of the nightclub by nature.

In his late teens, Dash Berlin started working at a record shop and became a dedicated vinyl collector with a fascination for melodic, synthesized house music, subsequently known as “Trance”. During his set on the world famous Love Parade, Dash decided to incorporate the word “Berlin” behind his artist name.

In early 2006, Dash teamed up with fellow producers and close friends, Molijn & Kalberg, who were regular customers at his record shop. Together they are designing an ambitious and unprecedented new division in Trance, critically acclaimed as the “Dash Berlin Sound”.

In 2007, none other than Armin van Buuren revealed his newfound discovery to the world and featured Dash Berlin’s debut record “Till The Sky Falls Down” on his legendary “Universal Religion” album. Dear friends of the electronic dance music,

My name is Werner Griese, I am the owner and director of the management, booking and event agency Dancefield.

For over 8 years, Dancefield has been a solid and reliable member of the electronic music scene, representing a variety of artists like for example Dr. Motte, Felix Kröcher, Lucca, Mauro Picotto and ATB.
Each weekend, with our worldwide partners, established through high quality, honest and trustworthy work, we schedule artists all over the globe. Furthermore, we have a long-established and trusty partnership with the Love Parade, Nature One, Mayday and the Alpha Festival.

Until today, I had the utmost faith in this electronic scene and especially in the people working within this scene. But sadly, last weekend I had to realize that there are black sheep in this scene who put their money aims above quality and foremost above your rights and wishes to have the promised party with the scheduled and booked artists.

As you all know, this weekend at the Planet Love Festival our artist ATB was scheduled to play a two hour set for you, other artists at the festival were Judge Jules, Marco V, Fedde le Grand and Paul van Dyk. For this performance, a booking contract was made between ATB and Planet Love Festival via Dancefield, in which ATB was contracted to be presented by the festival as the 2nd Headliner. Among other things, this contract specified a fixed time slot for ATB’s 2 hour performance from 22.00 hours - 00.00 hours. ATB was the only artist besides Paul van Dyk to be contracted with a 2 hour performance time.
Surprisingly, this Saturday evening (5th September 2009) I was called at our hotel by the festival shuttle services. I was asked by shuttle services if we could play at another time slot as there were delayed flights of some DJs who consequently wouldn’t make it on time to the festival. Generally, I have absolute understanding for situations like this and I always try to help, but it simply would not have been possible for us to make the proposed 20.45 – 22.00 time slot, as we were still at the hotel. Besides, it was not the contracted 2 hour performance time. And last but not least, I don’t know why the Planet Love promoter didn’t call me himself, he has my mobile number!

What is more, in my 15 years of working as a stage manager at the largest festivals and events in Germany, I have never encountered the situation that a headliner was moved from his contracted time slot to a shorter and earlier performance time. Arriving on the festival site, we tried to talk to the promoters to discuss and clarify the situation and to find a solution. But during the various talks, it became clear that in the run-up to the event the organisers were informed by Paul van Dyk that ATB was not to play directly before him, otherwise he threatened the organizers that he wouldn’t perform at the festival.

I was told this straight to my face and in front of many witnesses, and I have to say I am more than shocked by this!

The organizers told us that they have no possibility of changing this situation and they were very sorry about this. My question as to whether this was common practice and a basic example of how their organisation works, letting certain DJs decide who is to be contracted for the line-up and when they are to perform, was shamefully ignored and not answered.
In the end, the issue was not about changing artists in the line-up due to problems like delayed flights or other problems, but it was only about Paul van Dyk not wanting ATB to perform directly before him until 00.00 hours, because Paul van Dyk did not want this.

But now the promoters have started spreading wrong and false facts which I will not discuss in detail here. Such behaviour can not be tolerated and certainly will not be tolerated by me, as it throws an unfair light onto my artist who is innocently dragged through the dirt.

Sadly, Planet Love did not and still does not have the courage to stand up against someone who tries to dictate to them how to do their job. They are still continuing this behaviour after the event, which saddens me deeply.

Also, I do not understand why it is impossible for Paul van Dyk to have ATB play directly before him. Up to this very day, nobody can explain this to me. Such behaviour in our scene is absolutely intolerable, especially for you, the fans, the lovers of the music, who have paid to party and can expect to be treated respectfully.
Surely, everyone can understand that such a situation is simply not tolerable for us. Although the behaviour of the organizers and promoters put us into a state of shock, we did offer to play from 23.00 – 00.00 hours. But this offer was also refused by them due to the instructions given to them by Paul van Dyk.
You can be assured that this decision of not performing was not easy for us at all, and I feel very sorry for all the fans. Everyone who knows me and ATB is well aware that we always do everything to make a gig possible, but in this case even with our willingness to help and our offers to solve the situation, it was just not possible.
Finally, I want to make clear that at no time during the discussions were there securities present or in the vicinity or even necessary, and that at no time were threats issued by ATB or myself towards the organisers/promoters or their staff.

We want to clearly dissociate ourselves from the allegations made by the promoters/organizers of the Plant Love Festival at this time.
This event will leave a black spot in our memories, because in the end the people who got really hurt are you, the fans. And that surely is something we never ever want to happen!

“Future Memories“ features four tracks which clock in at over 165 beats per minute. Anyone who thinks this signals a departure into hardcore or techno by ATB would be mistaken. In spite of their high speed, these songs still have that essential ATB soul.

Deep and floating grooves tuned to planetary frequencies..

During his studies in Berlin in summer 1990 Gabriel heard about a street demo called loveparade and joined this crazy gathering dancing in the streets… Years later he met Dr. Motte, originator, multiversal artist and inventor of the loveparade, and they took the decision to meet in studio for jams which took place in Frankfurt at Gab’s Lab, where they celebrated a creative clash that is manifested in the album’s seven tracks.
The result is a trip on the dancefloor with deep, floating grooves and predominantly 4-2-4 beats on the first four tracks, while the last three tracks become an after hours party filled with deep, energetic, beatless grooves with a dubby atmosphere. At the beginning, Dr. Motte introduced Gabriel to another special method of producing music, using a tonal scale that is based on the frequencies of the rotating planets from our solar system, because the rotation of the planets differ from each other along with gravitational principles. For each track, they tuned their musical equipment to the corresponding planetary frequency of one of the planets in our solar system. The earth’s tuning, for example, is the 435.92 Hz ‘G’ tone.

Finally it’s ready, the debut artist album of the most known czech DJane Lucca from Prague will be released on 08th December 2008. Firstly Reformation will be released exclusively on Beatport and from february 2009 you will find it as special edition in your favourite record stores. The special edition includes further tracks of Lucca that are refined with guitar riffs of the czech musiclegend Michal Pavlicek. That will give the album a special touch.

Reformation stands for the groth of Lucca personally and as DJane. Every track of the album reflects a story of Luccas life, that is what makes the album very characteristically. Every single stands for itself and have it’s own identity. To build a common identity with this very specific and unique tracks was the aim of this album. So every listener of the album will be sendet on a journey through Luccas life.

Reformation is a 13-track album and shows a broad range of dance music. It takes Lucca´s favourite elements from all different genre’s of dance. Lucca brings a new spirit on the worldwide dancefloors with her progressive techno peppered with pumping electro beatz and fine minimal sounds. Lucca‘s inspiration comes from productions of deep dish and chemical brothers.

One of Lucca’s favourite tracks on the album is ‚Hundertwasser‘ a brand new track, which can be described as a funky nu minimal trance, it’s 130 bpm and very bassheavy. Moreover Lucca really likes the tracks ‚Noise Tone‘ and ‚Teleport‘, ‚Noise Tone‘ is more in a minimal style and ‚Teleport‘ is a powerfull funky techno sound. For ‚Recommended Sister‘ Lucca got insprirations and influences by the sound of Deep Dish. But ‚Crank’ is a bit different style then the rest of the album, it’s a progressive house track.

Lucca will release Reformation on her own label Sound Of Acapulco.

Dancefield Germany has decided to team up with Dance4Life to help them stop the spread of HIV and AIDS.

Dance4Life inspires, mobilizes and unites young people to push back HIV and AIDS. It is currently active in twenty countries with its schools project, media campaign and closing events. The 29th of November this year will see more than 100.000 young people dancing simultaneously on all continents.

PALAZZO - a club in the mix



Just in time to the reopening of the legendary Palazzo club in Bingen the new Mix-Compilation „Palazzo Vol 7 – mixed by Felix Kröcher“ is going to be released! This compilation is as unique as the legendary club itself! A perfect duplicate, even if this compilation is a single-mix CD!


Palazzo was long time one of the best known clubs in the Rhine-Main-Area. Located in the old city hall on the Rhine shore of Bingen, the club offered place to more than 2000 people on three floors. Palazzo was founded in 1990 and was one of the first clubs in Germany where electronic music has been celebrated by various djs. In 2003 the Palazzo club was closed in this form. However, this was not the end. After some rebuildings Palazzo celebrated his big Re-Opening-Party on 08.03.2008!


Beside the success of the club Palazzo can also look back on a very successful mix –compilation line. Unforgotten remain the worldwide successful dj mix sets of Palazzo dimensions like Marco Remus, Gayle San, DJ Rush, Eric Sneo, Pet Duo or Valentino Kanzyani!


Now the Palazzo compilation comes back with another headliner of techno! Nobody less than the „Best DJ National in 2007“, voted by the readers of Raveline, Germany´s biggest electronic music magazine, layed his hands on this – Felix Kröcher!

Finally: André Tanneberger aka ATB will rock this summer the undoubted number-one Party Isle Ibiza again! This time Andre is going to perform in the context of the famous ‘Armada Nights’ on the 24th of July and on the 11th September 2007. Location of the Armada-Nights series will be the Amnesia, which was selected on the last WMC in Miami to the worldwide best club. Everybody is anxious and excited about this upcoming extraordinary and unforgettable Party.

At least there will be twelve Armada-Nights in Amnesia this summer, hosted by Armada@Amnesia resident Armin van Buuren. The list of the other GuestDJ’s, which are invited by Armin, is like the who-is-who of the world’s well-known and best DJ’s like Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz and Rank 1 (just to mention a few).

From the 3rd of july the ‘Armada-Nights’ will be every Tuesday the Hot-Spot and focus of interest of the whole Party-Isle.

First official mix CD by lickin’ records main artist SUNLOVERZ – includes brandnew unreleased Sunloverz remixes of Hernandez Vs. DJ Tyo or LeisureGroove feat. Sevi G. as well as clubhits from Ian Carey, Tune Brothers, Syke’N’Sugarstarr a.m.m. The foundation of the ‚Sunloverz’ project (consisting of Frank Sanders & Bernd Johnen) is in fact the reason for the birth of lickin records. After producing and remixing a great number of tracks for labels all over the word they produced the track ‘All Around The World’ in spring 2004. This first Sunloverz single was a very successfull start for the project and the lickin’ records label as well. It was followed by the second Sunloverz Single ‚Shine On’ which was released in April 2005 and reached a worldwide clubhit status. The guys are also very busy as high demanded remixers for tracks from Michael Gray, Dr. Kucho & Gregor Salto, Haji & Emanuel, Rasmus Faber, Tune Brothers a.m.m.

Beneath their work in the studio and for the label they are also on the road as DJs. Their international roster contains gigs in Moscow, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg just to mention a few.
For 2007 they are working on their third Sunloverz single which will be available soon as well as on various remix jobs.
